Beschrijving
Betreft het ijzermagazijn van Johann Heinrich Wilhelm Wachtels (Bussum, 1849 – Leeuwarden, 1919). Hij komt via Nijmegen in oktober 1871 naar Leeuwarden, Voorstreek 253. De eerste verkoopadvertentie voor schaatsen van Wachtels is van 1878 in de LC. Hij is dan gevestigd aan de Amelandspijp. Wachtels adverteert in kranten in het hele land. De laatste advertentie is uit 1908. Kort daarna stopt hij met het bedrijf.
