De firma WECO (Wehmeyer&Co) uit de plaats Werther (Westfalen, Duitsland) produceerde voertuigen en maakte daarnaast tussen ca. 1960 en 1977 ook rol- en sneeuwschaatsen (Gleitschuhe). In totaal werden er ongeveer 500.000 sneeuwschaatsen gemaakt. Directeur en eigenaar was de heer Gerhard Wehmeyer.
